Darksiders: Warmastered Edition game review.

Back in 2010, THQ released Darksiders for the consoles and PC and it met with high critical reception. The game did excite the audience with its fun hack n’ slash gameplay and its RPG elements.

Fast forward to 2017, THQ Nordic and Vigil Games in development wheel made a revisit to Darksiders with a remaster named “Darksiders: Warmastered Edition“. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition which is made for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Wii U consoles and PC feature some enhancements from the original game.

Let’s take everything from the start, shall we?

DWE -1.png

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition brings improvements in the next-gen consoles and PC. It brings new post processing effects, it runs at 60 frames per second on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, PC but only at 30 fps on Wii U, it includes also 1080p rendering and other visual improvements such as improved shadow rendering and double resolution textures. That’s all the goodies that come with the special release on the next-gen consoles. The game runs very well, but in some boss fights the frame-rate drops very low occasionally, but it isn’t game-breaking, it’s very playable.

DWE -2.jpg

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is a spectacular game, which has an amazing story and a very smooth gameplay, it’s really enjoyable slashing your enemies and bosses. It plays very smoothly thanks to the enhancements and it looks very good thanks to the visual improvements.

DWE -3.jpg

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition changes and improvements feel right and fantastic, but the developers could add more content to it, such as behind the scenes videos or some making-of videos or extra missions, however the game have an amazing price, so it’s a huge bargain for every platform with nothing extra needed in this edition of the game.

If you have never played Darksiders before, I strongly recommend it, the game have an amazing story, gameplay and lots of improvements have been done, so it definitely worth the price needed to get the game. The game have one minor issue in boss fights where the frame-rate will drop very low very occasionally, other than that the game runs smoothly. If you played the original version of the game, I strongly recommend it again, because it’s really enjoyable thanks to the additions made.

I give Darksiders: Warmastered Edition an 8/10 for providing excellent upgrades that make the game fabulous. I have really enjoyed playing the game and I seal this as a strong recommendation to my readers.
