THQ Nordic Acquired Kingdom: Come Deliverance Developer And The IP

THQ Nordic has acquired today Kingdom: Come Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios along with the intellectual property rights for the game for 33.2€ million.

Warhorse CEO Martin Fryvaldsky said in a statement:

“We began as a small start-up with a handful of employees who were enthusiastic enough to join this challenging project.

We believe that backing by THQ Nordic and Koch Media will give us an extra push in our mission to bring exciting games to our customers and extend the frontiers of the gaming industry.”

 

 

DiRT Rally 2.0 Season One Post-Launch Content Unveiled

Codemasters has revealed yesterday the Season One of DiRT Rally 2.0 post-launch content.

Season One will contain rally content and it will introduce the following cars, liveries, and rally stages to DiRT Rally 2.0:

  • Week 1: Skoda Fabia Rally, Citroen C4 Rally
  • Week 3: Monte Carlo Rally, Special Livery
  • Week 5: BMW M1 Procar Rally, Opel Manta 400, Special Livery
  • Week 7: Sweden Rally
  • Week 9: Ford Focus RS Rally 2007, Subaru Impreza, Special Livery
  • Week 11: Germany Rally

Monte Carlo Rally and other returning classic Rally environments Germany and Sweden will have visual improvements since the original DiRT Rally, thanks to the power of the new lighting system which will come along with improvements to the materials, foliage and character models. You will also experience those stages with the challenge of tyre choice, track degradation, updated handling physics and the optional hardcore damage mode.

The post-launch line-up also features highly-requested cars from the DiRT community which include Skoda Fabia Rally and the Subaru Impreza.

Codemasters has also announced that those who have purchased the season one content will also have access to a set of exclusive high reward in-game events and in-game bonuses.

Ross Gowing, Chief Games Designer at Codemasters commented about the post-launch content of Dirt Rally 2.0:

“It was important for us to not just include brand new content for DiRT Rally 2.0, but also to recognise the fan favourites from the previous titles.

The improvements the team have made for DiRT Rally 2.0 are plain to see, and Monte Carlo is a shining example of that. I think it looks incredible, and I hope our players feel the same way too. We are making a significant commitment to expanding the DiRT Rally 2.0 experience for the players that have been calling for us to do exactly that over a number of years.”

Players who pre-order or buy the Deluxe Edition of DiRT Rally 2.0 will have this Season One Content, plus Season Two which “contains a similar level of content and features as part of the Season Pass”, as the publisher has announced.

Players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will also have early access to the game four days earlier from 22nd February 2019.

DiRT Rally 2.0 will launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Tuesday, 26th February 2019.

Far Cry New Dawn Latest Trailer is Out With Style

Ubisoft released today a trailer for the upcoming post-apocalyptic first-person shooter Far Cry New Dawn.

The latest trailer shows off some of the customization options that will be available for all players. You can customize your clothes, the weapon camos, and all vehicles using a range of different color pallets, shapes and items.

Far Cry New Dawn will be released on Friday, 15th February 2019 to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The Division 2 Open Beta Coming Early March

Ubisoft has announced today that they will launch an open beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The development team has shared that the Open Beta for Division 2 will be running from 1st March 2019 until 4th March 2019.

They haven’t shared information about the Open Beta content as of yet, but the news on that are expected as we get closer to that date.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will launch worldwide to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Friday, 15th March 2019.

Manga Heroes and Villains Collide in the Launch Trailer for Jump Force

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released the launch trailer for Jump Force as the fighting game will release later this week on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Jump Force is an open-world fighting game and it features characters such as Goku, Luffy, Naruto and more characters from popular series like Bleach, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures and more. The game takes place on the streets of New York and on the Alps as you unite to fight and defend the planet from destruction and chaos.

Jump Force will launch worldwide on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Friday, 15th February 2019. Ultimate Edition owners will get a 3-day early-access to the game.
