Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Has Been Revealed, Coming This Holiday to Current and Next-Gen Hardware

Ubisoft has announced today the next Assassin’s Creed instalment which takes the franchise to the ninth of century in the Viking age. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set to launch in the holiday season of 2020 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.

In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you are playing Eivor, “a fierce Viking warrior raised on tales of battle and glory. You will explore a dynamic open world set against the brutal backdrop of England’s Dark Ages. You will also raid enemies, grow your settlement, and build your reputation.

Some of the key features are the following:

Write your Viking Saga – Advanced RPG mechanics allow you to shape the growth of your character and influence the world around you. With every choice you make, from political alliances and combat strategy to dialogue and gear progression, you will carve your own path to glory.

Visceral Combat System – Dual-wield powerful weapons such as axes, swords, and even shields to relive the ruthless fighting style of the Viking warriors. Ubisoft will have a gameplay reveal on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on the Inside Xbox Episode on 7th of May 2020 at 8am PT.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set to launch in Holiday 2020 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, PC (through Ubisoft store, Uplay+ and Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X (supports Smart Delivery – once you purchase the Xbox One version, you get the Series X edition for free).

PlayStation Plus Games for May 2020

Sony has unveiled the games that will be provided for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers in May on PlayStation 4.

The PlayStation 4 games that will be offered to Plus members starting from Tuesday, 5th May 2020 are the strategy simulation Cities Skylines from Paradox Interactive and the popular Farming Simulator 19 from Focus Home Interactive.

Last month’s PS Plus offerings Uncharted 4 and DiRT Rally 2.0 until Monday, 4th of May 2020.

Xbox Live Games with Gold May 2020

Microsoft has announced the games that will be offered to Xbox Live Gold members for the month of May on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Xbox One users will be able to download V-Rally from Nacon starting on 1st of May through 31st May.

On 16th May to 15th June, the Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr from Nacon.

The Xbox 360 users (and Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility) will be able to download Sensible World of Soccer from Codemasters on 1st May to 15th May and it will be replaced in the next day by Codemasters’ Overlord II until 31st May 2020.

Destroy All Humans! Remake Coming To Consoles and PC in July

Developer Black Forest and publisher THQ Nordic have announced today the release date of the remake of Destroy All Humans! with a new trailer.

The game is a remake of the 2005 original game including the original dialogue, but with recreated environments, animations and character models.

Destroy All Humans! is set to launch worldwide on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and for the first time on PC on 28th July 2020.

 

SnowRunner Is Out Now on Consoles and PC

Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have launched today the off-road simulation SnowRunner on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

SnowRuner is an evolution over its predecessor MudRunner featuring new physics, new vehicles, new cargo, new environments and new missions.

SnowRunner is an off-road simulation game which puts the player behind the driver seat of powerful vehicles like tankers, pick-ups and special machinery while they explore new wild environments with an advanced terrain simulation.

Players can also expand and customize their fleet of vehicles with a huge arsenal of upgrades and special accessories which will help to fight the relentless nature.

In addition, SnowRunner supports Solo-Play and it also features a 4-player CO-OP online with friends or other random players.

SnowRuner is available now worldwide on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC through Epic Games Store.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds and Future Plans for the Franchise Revealed

2K Games has made today an announcement regarding the WWE 2K franchise addressing the future to fans.

The publisher has announced a new game WWE 2K Playgrounds which is being developed by Saber Interactive, the studio behind NBA 2K Playgrounds and World War Z.

The game will feature arcade-style action and unusual Superstar designs, environments and moves focusing on the fun factor.

WWE 2K Playground is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2020 with more information to come in the coming months.

2K Games has also addressed the community’s feedback about WWE 2K20 releasing five title updates and heard hundreds of reported concerns, and have released four WWE 2K20 Originals DLC expansions to build on and improve the experience.

The publisher has also answered to fan requests to keep WWE 2K19 Online servers running by announcing that they will remain active for the time being.

The publisher has also announced that there will be no WWE 2K21 and they are focusing to build WWE 2K22 with Visual Concepts and they’ve recruited Patrick Gilmore to serve as Executive Producer and lead these efforts. Gilmore has over 25 years of experience in video games, reaching all the way back to Disney’s Aladdin on Sega Genesis, and including franchises like Killer Instinct, and Medal of Honor.

Sony Has Announced The Worldwide Launch Dates For The Last of Us Part II and Ghosts of Tsushima

Sony’s Head of Interactive Studios Herman Hurst has revealed today the worldwide release dates of the two much anticipated first-party PlayStation 4 exclusives Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II and Sucker Punch’s Ghosts of Tsushima.

The Last of Us Part II will release on 19th June and Ghosts of Tsushima will follow a month later on 17th July 2020.

There have been some challenges in the working environment for the company due to Covid-19, so the release dates were moved to give the development studios more time to polish and prepare the release.

 

Deliver Us The Moon Is Available Now On PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Developer KeokeN Interactive and publisher Wired Productions have launched worldwide earlier this week the sci-fi game Deliver Us The Moon for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms and it’s also available now on Xbox Game Pass.

Deliver Us The Moon was initially released on PC last year to high praise among fans and critics and now it’s finally available to consoles.

The game is narrative-driven and it includes various types of gameplay, a vast world to explore, a story filled with suspense and many thrilling puzzles to complete.

Deliver Us The Moon is set in an apocalyptic near-future where the Earth’s resources have been depleted and humanity looks to the stars. Nations band together to create the World Space Agency – an organisation tasked with solving the extreme energy crisis. The solution: colonization and exploitation of the moon’s natural reserves of Helium-3 to serve the energy needs of a growing Earth population. Suddenly, and without warning, communications with the Moon cease, and the energy source is lost. Battlefield V’s Last Update Will Be Deployed in June

DICE has announced earlier this week that they will be releasing the final update of content for Battlefield V in June.

The current Battlefield V Chapter Into The Jungle will be wrapping up on 29th April and the developer has revealed that it will be releasing one more standalone update in the summer that brings new content, weapons and game tweaks.

Dice has also unveiled that it’s targetting June for the launch of the update, while they are having some challenges working from home.

The developer is also planning various weekly events and activities and weekly rewards following the summer update. Lastly, the developer also assured that the ongoing battle against cheating in Battlefield V will be continued.

 

 

 

Borderlands 3 Mayhem 2.0 and A New Season Event Are Available Now

Gearbox Software has released today a new update for Borderlands 3 adding new content to the end-game and a new seasonal event named Revenge of the Cartels providing new time-limited activities packed with new areas, enemies and gear.

Mayhem 2.0 mode which unlocks when you finish the main campaign gets an upgrade as there are now more than 25 new game modifiers like a big head mode called Galaxy Brain to challenging modifiers like Drone Ranger, which spawns Healing Drones assisting enemies. Those modifiers are available in Easy, Medium, Hard and Very Hard settings.

You can also now adjust Mayhem mode options at any time via a new tab in the ECHO device menu.

The other half of the update is the Revenge of the Cartels which is a free in-game event running from 23rd April until 4th June features an all-new area, new enemy types, limited-time challenges and new gear to collect including Legendaries and Anointments.
