Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Gets An Extended Gameplay Look For Gamescom

Insomniac Games and Sony have debuted yesterday an extended gameplay demo for the upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive title Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event.

“Ratchet and Clank find themselves at odds with their archnemesis, Dr. Nefarious. Only this time, he’s equipped with the dangerous Dimensionator, a device with the power to travel to other dimensions. The duo fights their way through an army of hired Goons in Megalopolis until something happens and they are ripped apart.”

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will release for PlayStation 5 consoles in the console’s Holiday 2020 launch window.

Just Dance 2021 Has Been Announced – Coming This November

Ubisoft has announced Just Dance 2021, the newest installment to the popular dancing-party franchise worldwide, which is scheduled to launch later this year.

Just Dance 2021 will feature over 40 new songs including latest hits like “all the good girls go to hell” by Billie Eilish and “Don’t Start Now” by Dua Lipa.

There will be new improvemens like a new quickplay mode for those looking to get straight to playing with a randomized playlist ready in the game main menu.

The first songs revealed include (with many more to be revealed at a later date):

  • “Dance Monkey” by Tones And I
  • “Que Tire Pa Lante” by Daddy Yankee

Just Dance 2021 will also see the return of classic Just Dance modes like Sweat Mode, Kids Mode, CO-OP Mode and of course the subscription-based service Just Dance Unlimited which includes over 550 songs with new songs being added throughout the year.

Just Dance 2021 will come with a month of Just Dance Unlimited for fans to play and enjoy.

The game can be played with the Just Dance Controller App which makes the game more accessible for current-gen owners with its phone-scoring technology, and allows up to six players to dance without any additional accessories. It’s available for free download on iOS and Android app stores.

Just Dance 2021 releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on Thursday, 12th November 2020. It will also follow on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 when those launch later this Holiday season.

Ubisoft has released a free week trial for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The week trial provides players with full access to the game available today through Friday, 4th September 2020.

All players that participate in the free week trial can carry over their progression and acquired in-game content and continue to play if they choose to purchase the game.

Players can also benefit from discounts on the game and the special editions running through the week across all platforms on the respective digital storefronts.

Mafia Definitive Edition Gets A New Trailer for Gamescom

Hangar 13 Games and 2K Games have released a new narrative trailer for the upcoming Mafia: Definitive Edition as part of the Opening Live Gamescom event that was hosted yesterday.

In this trailer you can see how the game’s protagonist Tommy Angelo is welcomed to the Mafia family.

2K Games has also released recently a 15-minute hands-on gameplay preview footage with commentary from Hangar 13 president and CCO Haden Blackman in partnership with YouTuber creator GhostRobo.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is “a comprehensive, rebuilt-from-the-ground-up remake of the original Mafia, complete with an updated script filled with rich new dialogue, expanded backstories, and additional cutscenes, all-new gameplay sequences and features”, all powered by the game engine that was used for Mafia III.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is releasing worldwide on Friday, 25th September 2020 and is available for pre-order now separately on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC and it’s also part of the Mafia Trilogy which includes immediate access to Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition.

Id Software and Bethesda have released a new trailer for the first campaign expansion DLC to the critically acclaimed first-person shooter Doom Eternal.

Doom Eternal’s The Ancient Gods: Part One takes place in Urdak where with the help of an ally you will attempt and save the universe from the demon leaders following an imbalance of power that happened shortly after the Base Campaign’s events.

Doom Eternal’s The Ancient Gods: Part One will be available on Tuesday, 20th October 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC as part of the Expansion Pass or as a seperate purchase through the respective digital storefronts.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War New Campaign Cinematic Trailer Just Released For Gamescom

Activision has released a new cinematic trailer for the Campaign Story of the recently unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War which is under development by Treyarch and Raven and is set to launch later this year.

The Campain is a direct-sequel to 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops and sets the player into the Cold War’s geopolitical battle of the early 1980’s.

In the Cinematic Trailer which you can watch below is “set in January 1981 at CIA Headquarters where Jason Hudson briefs the US President on an imminent threat of attack”.

The Worldwide Reveal of Cold War’s Multiplayer will happen on Tuesday, 9th September.

DiRT 5 Brand-New Playgrounds Mode Is A Fully Customizable Arena Creator

Codemasters has revealed a new game mode for the much-anticipated DiRT 5, which will bring the franchise back to the arcade and fun racing featuring a variety of cars and tracks set in numerous locations across the globe.

The new mode that has been unveiled yesterday is called Playgrounds and in short – it’s an arena creator that empowers players to create their own custom Gymkhana arenas, treasure hunt events and more by using a huge suite of objects from smash blocks, and jump zones to drift zones.

You can browse the user-generated mode and play creations from other players or create, share and play your own arenas online.

Playgrounds is included in all versions of DIRT 5, and the published creations of players on current-gen consoles will be also carried over to next-gen consoles if players choose to upgrade!

DiRT 5 launches on Friday, 16th October 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The game will also follow later on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles. Players on current-gen consoles will receive the next-gen upgrade for free.

Project Cars 3 features a new array of cars, tracks and customization options, as well as an expanded Career mode with a meaningful progression system.

Xbox Live Games With Gold September 2020 Line-Up

Microsoft has announced the games that will be given to Xbox Live Gold members for the month of September on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Xbox One users will be able to download Tom Clancy’s The Division from Ubisoft on 1st September 2020 available for the whole month until 30th September 2020.

On 16th September to 15th October, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to acquire The Book of Unwritten Rules 2 from THQ Nordic.

The Xbox 360 users (and Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility) will be able to download de Blob 2 from THQ Nordic on 1st September through 15th September and it will be replaced in the next day by the Original Xbox title Armed & Dangerous from Lucas Arts on 16th September through 30th September 2020.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Announced – Coming This November

Activision has unveiled the new Call of Duty title for 2020 developed by Treyarch and Raven Software.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a direct sequel to the 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops and it drops players into the Cold War’s geopolitical battle of the early 1980’s.

The Campaign developed by Raven Software will feature an intense story alongside iconic Black Ops characters who are returning Woods, Mason and Hudson, as well as a new cast of characters.
